The Book of Gratitude and Love- Prima's Ingvild Bolme Product Feature

Today on the Prima blog I'm featuring a project using some new Ingvild Bolme Shabby Chic Treasures and Junkyard Findings.

Shabby Chic is here to stay and who does it better than Prima? With two gorgeous lines by Ingvild Bolme (Shabby Chic Treasures and Junkyard Findings), we have the largest variety of metals and resins to add that GORGEOUS touch to any project your heart desires!

Over the past year, I've been creating gratitude journals for people. I simply buy a cheap hard cover notebook from the dollar store and alter the covers. This journal is for my mother in law so she can write all the things she's thankful for, inside the book. She loves soft pastel colours and so I used the Coffee Break collection for the background. Then I used some of the new Ingvild Bolme resins to embellish it

Look at the details on the birds and the feathers, aren't they fantastic. And who doesn't love the new Prima Flowers, They are just divine.

I framed the photo in one of the graduated squares after adding lots of layers. The background is from the Montage collection- Calling Cards paper. I also used the word Sweet from the Arrow word set and the wild flourish bundle.

Of course I embellished with lots of beautiful Prima flowers to match the papers.

Peace- Blue Fern Studios and Prima Bloom Girl

I really can't believe its October already. The end of the year is just around the corner and I can't believe it will be soon 2015. It feels like it was just yesterday when the millennium started and now we are well into it!!

With our world the way it is nowadays, I felt I needed to create a piece of art that sends some love and peace energy to the world. I painted this "Free Spirit" Peace girl using on a A4 water-colour paper pad and used watercolors and Blue Fern Studios Chipboard to bring her to life.

I used Prima Bloom Girl Free Spirit stencil and Prima's black gesso, to create the outline for this woman.
Then I used Color Bloom sprays to paint her inside the lines.

The Blue Fern Studios Ginger's Poppies were embossed in both Gold and Copper powders. I cut them up into a few pieces to embellish the girl's hair.

The word peace, from the Blue Fern Studios "good vibes" word set, was simply painted in gold acrylic paint.

Altered black canvas- Flying Unicorn Mixed Media Art Kit

This month, the Flying Unicorn Mixed Media art kit included a black canvas and it was so much fun altering it.

I created the background using some white paint and the 6x6 The Crafter's Workshop stencil that came in the kit. I also used matte gel medium to adhere some cut-up elements from the FabScraps papers that came in this month's kit.

I used different kinds of Prima metal embellishments such as light fixtures (from the kit), gears and clocks. Most of the metal embellies were painted in white paint. I also added some matching Prima flowers to enhance the texture.

Finally I used some chalkboard journaling cards as canvas layers and as a title.
