Serenity Prayer Inspirational Altered Canvas- and my First Video

You still have a couple of days for my giveaway!!

The day has finally come and I have made my own video!! I can't believe it myself as I thought it would be very complicated but it was actually very simple. It did however take a long time but I hope it will get shorter as I get used to the controls.

I used the Lyric collection for this project and lots of Prima flowers. I'm in love with the Lyric collection and you will see it in a few of my projects coming up!!
I also used lots of Shimmerz sprays for this project and I just have to say wow!!

So today I don't have to explain to you how I made this project, I will simply show you in the video below. Please let me know what you think!! and excuse any mistakes if you find them!!

I made this altered canvas for my best friend's birthday, although she doesn't know it yet. I made one for her and one for me. The first one was a trial and the second one I filmed and edited.
This is one of my favourite quotes and as you know I love, love, love butterflies.

I want to thank the lovely Miranda Edney for helping figure out how to make a video!! your ideas were great and I thank you for that!!

Now without further ado!! here is my video!!

If you're are about to try something new, I do hope you take the plunge like I did!!
have a fabulous day!

Strong Willed- Ces't Magnifique April Kit reveal part #3

For my giveaway press here

Here is my last reveal for the Ces't Magnifique April Kit featuring beautiful papers from Pion Designs. Stay tune though for April 1st when I reveal the Ces't Magnifique sketch challenge and my designed layout.

I made a layout about myself. I looked at the word strong in the Prima frames and I really thought it fit my character as I've been through so much when I was in my 20's. G-d made me strong willed so I can overcome all obstacles he put in my way.

I covered the Blue Fern dress forms in gesso and then sprayed them with Starburst spray from the kit. I did the same thing with the Blue Fern Royal Border.

I used lots of butterflies for this layout as they are my favorite!!

As an inspiration for this layout I used the March 15th sketch from Stuck? sketches!! here is it is:

Memories with you Together- Ces't Magnifique April Kit Reveal

Just a few more days to enter my giveaway

We are very happy to reveal the Ces't Magnifique Kit for April

"Victorian Roses"

Here is another layout for my reveal at Ces't Magnifique using Alma's Sewing room Collection from Pion Designs

This is a picture of our family on a trip last year!! it was taken professionally with a black background. I wanted to use the black flowers from the kit so I thought it would match the picture perfectly.

I used the Blue Fern Floral Clock. I covered it in gesso, distress stain and then I masked it with the Prima marble mask using textured paste. Finally I sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst.

I don't usually use trim or seam binding on my pages as I don't make the nicest bows. However I really like the way Erin makes her bows so I tried to make some of those too. Not as professional but not bad for a rookie.

Discover- 13 Arts March Reveal part 2

For my giveaway press here

Here is the second layout I made for 13 Arts. I love their beautiful soft papers. They are just perfect for this layout.

This layout was also made with the "Frosted Life" Collection. It is a picture of my daughter walking down the beach.

I used a chipboard frame around the picture. I covered it with 13 Arts Gesso which I first combined with 13 Arts Pink Ink to give it a pink hue.

I also used the brick mask in this layout with the modeling paste. Then I doodled around each brick with a black pen.

For the flower stems I used the pink gesso from the frame to mask them into the background. Then I used some of the 13 Arts pink and white stems to mimic the movement.

I hope you enjoyed my creations today.

Have a great day!!

"I loved you since the first moment I saw you"- 13 Arts Reveal Part 1

For my giveaway press here

Its my turn today at the 13 Arts blog. Here is the first layout and tomorrow I will reveal the second one.

I made this layout with a picture of my daughter I took at the beach. I wanted to use blue hues to mimic the beautiful blue sky. I used 13 Arts Pearl Sky Blue Ayeeda Mist for this purpose.

As an inspiration for this sketch I sound an amazing Russian challenge site called Zagadka-Sketches. Loved their sketch and mirrorred it on the other side of the page!! I might have to visit this site more often
here is the sketch

I used a chipboard frame around the photo. First I primed it with 13 Arts Gesso. Then I masked it with some 13 Arts Modeling Paste over a brick template. Once dry, I rubbed it with a wipe using the blue mist.

I combined both the brick paper from the "Frosted Life" collection and a textured brick layer using the modeling paste. Then I also inked and rubbed the blue mist with a wipe.

I covered this chipboard lamp post with some 13 Arts Gesso and then lightly inked it with blue chalk ink. finally I stamped it with a crackle stamp to make it look antique. I also stamped the background with the same stamp.

I hope you enjoyed my creations today.

Have a great day!!

Happy You- 2 Crafty Reveal Part 2

For my March giveaway press here
I'm giving away some 2 Crafty Chipboard and lots of Websters Pages embellishments.

Here is my 2 Crafty reveal in more detail.

My second layout this month for 2 Crafty was created for the Prima PPP for March too. The palette is fully green and it was perfect for creating another magical garden around this photo of my daughter. This time, the butterfly landed on her forehead. It looks as if shes wearing a hair clip but that's a real butterfly.

First I framed the picture in a Polaroid frame. I embossed the frame using a Tim Holtz butterfly embossing folder. I thought it fit the theme perfectly. Then I painted it in green to match the embellishments.

Polariod Frames (unit of 3)

I also embossed this flag banner with the butterfly embossing folder and then proceeded to paint it in green too.
I used this layout for the banner challenge at Do more with Less hosted by Anupama Choudary who is the GD at Yvonne's blog this month!!

Flag Banner (unit of 3)

Finally I used the word "happy" from  the summertime word collection pack
