Perfect Just the way you are

Only a few more days for my Birthday giveaway. Press here if you want to join.

Here is my reveal for Bird is the Word using the word Shadow. This was a tough one for me. The only phrase I could thing of is "Beyond the shadow of a doubt...." But I didn't want to make the title too long, so I used the phrase in my journaling. It reads: "Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I love you so much. You are perfect just the way you are"

I used Ces't Magnifique's July sketch for this layout along with papers and embellishments form their July monthly Kit.

Sketch designed by Design Team Member- Amarylis Doria. Everyone is welcome to participate, all entries due by August 15th.
Here is my take on the sketch and my other creations:

I made another layout with my sisters because my other sister wanted one too. I used the main kit and made flowers out of the papers. The butterflies are from the EAO and the title and doily from my own stash

For this next layout I followed a sketch from the Kaisercraft Blog. Sketch #1 from July. I made my own tulle flower which I will be showing you how to make in a tutorial later on this month.
I used the main kit. The EAO and a large flower and resin corners from my stash.

I used the main kit for this layout and a little piece of leftover chipboard and doilies from the EAO. The little blue flowers are from my stash.

Simply Beautiful- Creative Scrappers #218

So I'm here again with my 2nd layout for Creative Scrappers. I used these beautiful Ambrosia papers from BoBunny and a picture of myself on the dock by the lake.
I found this huge yellow chipboard butterfly in my stash and I though it matched perfectly.

I don't know if you have noticed but I love butterflies. They have a strong spiritual meaning for me and I love having them in my layouts.

I am also using this layout for a challenge at the BoBunny blog. The challenge is to use white space. Check out their creations here.

Here is what I designed:

Materials used
Papers: BoBunny, ambrosia
Chipboard: Autumn Leaves, Dusty attic
Flowers: Petaloo and Recollections
Purple stickles
black pen

Build a Page Tutorial for July's Scrap That! Kit

Here is my tutorial this month for July's Scrap That Kit

1. First take the purple-pink  paper and cut a 7 inch circle right in the middle of the paper
(I apologize about the differences in color of the papers but one was taken in a darker room so it looks pink and the other in the light and it looks purple)
It is the same paper though so not to worry.

2. Using your favourite distresser tool, distress the edges of the purple paper. I used my Zutter Distrezz-it-all but any tool will work.

3. Take the brown paper from the kit and cut an inch out of 2 of the sides, one from the top and one from the right (or left).

4.  Then distress its edges and place over the purple paper.

 5. Distress the circle's edges too and place it in the middle of the page

6. Layer the photo over 2 pieces of packaging paper. I used leftover packaging from Prima and Melissa Francis embellishments that came in the kit.

7. To accent and match the photo I used my own photograph of the pink flowers and cut out the flowers into pieces.

8. I took a couple of chipboard branches out of my stash and covered them in Fiber Paste. (you may use any type of branches or flourishes as an accent for this piece)

9. Then I sprayed them in green Adirondack ink by Ranger.

10. I took the 2 craft sticks and covered them in Tim Holtz Distress stain: Picket Fence

11. Once dry,  using the alpha from the kit, I added the title on top of the sticks.

12. Finally I arranged the layout and added flowers, buttons, pearls, window frame and other embellishments all together together.

Unforgettable Journey

For my birthday giveaway press here

Last week I designed an all boys layout for a change about my husband and my son. I did use pastel colors but I quite love how it turned out. I used some beautiful Webster's pages papers and embellishments that I got recently from their warehouse sale.  I have to tell you that it was worth every penny. The amount of stuff they sent me was unbelievable. I was truly impressed!!

I combined this layout for 2 challenges:

One is a sketch challenge at Scrap Africa which is a fantastic challenge blog, and the other one is for Webster's pages itself. The challenge was to scrap about the guys in our lives. Rules are that you have to use Webster's pages papers and you must use at least 2 other embellishments. It is quite an easy challenge. I used sparklers, lace trim, a journaling card and flowers.

The journaling says: "I hope your life is an unforgettable journey, you made my life meaningful and I will never forget it"

I also used a gorgeous hot air balloon chippie from 2 Crafty
Here is my layout:

 Materials Used:
Papers: Webster's pages
Flowers, lace, sparklers: WP
Chipboard: 2 Crafty
Title: Melody Ross
Crafter's Workshop brick template
White Texture effect by Martha Stewart
Cheese cloth
