As Mother's Day approaches we will be showcasing some gift ideas on the Prima blog during the next few weeks.

This simple brooch was created in less than 20 minutes.
Here are the close-ups:

I glued some junkyard finding pieces together and connected some Finnabair mechanicals to hang loose at the bottom.

I also glued Vintage Trinket metal pin in the back so it can be pinned onto a jacket or blouse.

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the Lifetime collection and added some zipper flowers to compliment them.

Endless Summer Fun- Shimmerz Joy

This colourful summer layout is a little different than my usual.
I've used lots of Shimmerz's products in the background by creating lines, circles and swirls.

These are the Shimmerz Products I used:
Dimensionz: Blue Lagoon
Dazzlerz: Pucker up pink
Spritz: Chick-a-dee
Shimmerz: Royal red
Vibez: Before Dawn

By layering with different shapes and different Shimmerz products, I created a busy textured background that matches the colours of the photo.

If you would like to try out any of these products you can purchase them from the Shimmerz Shop and if you mention my name during checkout, you will receive a free Shimmerz product!!!

Find Happiness Tag- 7 Dots Illumination Collection

The Flying Unicorn Design Team is featuring the 7 Dots Illumination Collection on the 7 Dots Studio blog.

I created the tag below using bits and pieces from the Illumination collection.

I had pieces of Illumination paper left over from other projects I'd done with the collection so I simply mounted them to create a tag.

I used  some matching Prima Marketing Flowers to embellish the tag along with some trinkets from the Flying Unicorn store.

Tag: Julie Nutting tag pad
Papers: 7 Dots Illumination papers
Flowers: Prima
Metal Trinkets: Flying Unicorn
Pearls and ribbon: unknown
Stencil: Prima
Prima Fluid chalk ink: old road

Since we have such a special occasion. It wouldn't be possible to have it without something special for you
We couldn't have a promotion without having a giveaway

So visit the 7 Dots Blog and you could win this prize below filled with lots of yummy 7 Dots products.

I do hope that each of you can find happiness in the little things. I certainly do.
enjoy your day!!

The Book of Gratitude #2- Blue Fern Studios Reveal

This is the second book of gratitude I created for my Blue Fern Studios reveal this month. Its a little different than the other one but still unique on its own.
To see the first book I created this month scroll back to the post below.

I used a different set of Blue Fern Garden papers to cover this journal I bought from the dollar store. Then, I also covered the seams with some stencilled moulding paste. This time I used a different stencil to mimic the pattern on the Blue Fern Garden paper.

The Prima flowers I used really complimented the colour scheme of this journal.

I used two different shades of Silks glaze paint to cover all the different flowers on the cover as well as the mini butterfly.
The Lattice fence was roughly covered with gesso leaving parts unpainted.

Book: dollar store
papers and chipboard: Blue Fern Studios
Flowers: Prima
Golden Gesso
Stencil: Prima
Golden Light Molding Paste
Silks Glazes
Alpha: Prima

I try to find things to be thankful and grateful each and every day.
I hope you sit back today and find something to be thankful for.

Thanks so much for visiting my Blog

Have a wonderful day!!!
